Seasonal Color Post #5 Light Summer

Welcome back!

I took a much needed break from blog posts over the holidays, and now I am so ready to dive into the details of our next season!
Light summers are similar to cool summer, but they are all-around lighter.

Let's jump right in with hair

Summer's hair tones are light and ashy. (cool)
gray/ash blonde, or very light, cool brown.
Typically not golden.
See the difference between these warm and cool tones of blonde?

Now for the eyes

Light or grayish green, or  soft grayish blue. Harmonizing perfectly with hair and skin tones.
Here are some examples.

It can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between cool and warm skin tones. An easy way to tell is to look at the underside of your wrist.

Someone with cool skin will have blue or purple looking veins on the underside of the wrist.

The specific tone of skin for a light summer is a light to very light beige or ivory. Porcelain with pink undertone. It typically doesn't freckle, and is prone to burning.

Here's a perfect example of a light summer!

There is no dark skinned version of light summer, because the tones are all-around light.
